The Detox Kitchen

A lovely hemp bag to transport all your
meals in
Post Christmas and everyone is feeling a little over stuffed. No matter how hard we try the festivities always seem to catch up on us, I most definitely feel that way. Fortunately The Detox Kitchen is here to help. They offer a delicious detox diet delivered directly to your front door, which couldn't be easier! And they have every meal, snack, drink, supplement covered.

I trialed the protein menu for 3 days and I have really felt the rewards. My stomach is far less bloated, I feel cleansed and full of energy, a great kick start to my 2013. I haven't actually weighed myself to see if I have lost anything - don't like scales they always seem to upset me - but I definitely feel better for eating their menu for 3 days.

Breakfast with The Detox Kitchen

On a typical day with The Detox Kitchen you wake up to your lovely detox box waiting for you on your doorstep. You start off with a cup of hot water with lemon and/or fresh mint leaves, all provided in sweet little tubs. Then knock back a shot of wheat grass, followed by taking one of your Acidophilus supplements, which is full of probiotic bacteria. And if that hasn't filled you up, you are given a tub of oats with rice milk, which is seriously tasty!

My lunch on day one - Pearl barley, pea salad

Then for lunch you are provided with a variety of freshly prepared seasonal foods from British farmers. I had a Pearl barley, pea salad on my first day, which I was worried wouldn't fill me up, but boy, I didn't need anything else once I finished.

For snacks, you are usually given some nuts with a fresh juice, so there is no chance of getting hungry. And for dinner you are again offered freshly prepared foods which I thought tended to be more luxury than the lunches. I had prawns with a beetroot and carrot salad and a coriander dressing for my first day, it was utterly gorgeous. And to finish off your day a little treat, usually a pot of fresh fruit.

I cannot recommend this delivery detox diet enough, it is so convenient and easy, great for the time poor, it's stress free as you don't have to think about anything, it's all covered. It's virtually impossible to be tempted by things off the detox menu because you don't go hungry! What more could you ask for?

From £29.99 a day well worth investing.

  2. Wow great detox recipes! I love your beetroot and carrot salad the most. I think I will try and make this salad and will just add some chlorella powder to make it more effective.
